Drawings
The small drawings utilize toy packaging, fabric and other common household items to create abstract compositions through cutting, drawing, and whole punching. The large-scale paper installations are based on the printed elements of toy packaging and take shape as the starting point. Repeating patterns are culled from the refuse of girlhood. Through repetition I’m interested in the way individual shapes turn into physical and metaphorical patterns and what meaning shape may hold within its contours.
